First tests with MCP23017

  1. Identify the exact MCP23017 variant, package and manufacturer documentation.
  2. Identify power, ground and signal pins in the documentation. Assemble the circuit with power disconnected.
  3. Follow the manufacturer’s evaluation circuit. Use a current-limited low-voltage supply and the recommended logic levels.
  4. Mesurez les signaux d’entrée et de sortie. Comparez leur comportement à la fonction : extension d’entrées et sorties i²c.
