First tests with PCA9685

  1. Identify the exact PCA9685 variant, package and manufacturer documentation.
  2. Identify power, ground and signal pins in the documentation. Assemble the circuit with power disconnected.
  3. Follow the manufacturer’s evaluation circuit. Use a current-limited low-voltage supply and the recommended logic levels.
